FAQ

What is Daybreak?

Daybreak is your personal AI options desk: specialist agents that research the stock, challenge the thesis, and build a clear trade plan with you. That kind of team was historically reserved for institutions and high-net-worth individuals. Daybreak changes that. Our mission is to let every retail trader run their own desk from their favorite messaging apps, leveling the playing field by abstracting away the grunt work, headaches, and complexity of trading. The desk does the work; you make every call.

What is a trade plan and why does it matter?

Most unprofitable traders trade on impulse. They enter on a headline, a hot ticker, or a feeling that this one can’t miss, usually with no exit in mind. They size too big because the setup feels certain, hold losers hoping they come back, cut winners early to lock in relief, and revenge trade to win back a red day. Every one of those decisions happens mid-trade, with money on the line and emotions in charge: the worst possible conditions for judgment.

Good traders invert that. They think in probabilities: any single trade is a coin weighted slightly in their favor, so no one outcome matters, only the series. They make money not by being right more often, but by managing risk better: defined losses, larger winners, and sizing that guarantees no single trade can take them out.

The bridge between those two groups is a trade plan, set before entry. Daybreak structures every analysis as one: the entry, the target, the stop, and the invalidation, written down while you’re still objective.

Who built Daybreak and why should I trust it?

We come from trading infrastructure, hedge funds, and domain-specific computing research, and we built Daybreak because institutional-grade research shouldn’t be reserved for institutions. The desk runs on the same data sources institutional traders track, with rigorously tested analysis and an agent architecture built for retail options traders. We’re also not a brokerage: we don’t sell your order flow, so we have no incentive to push costly products or churn your positions. If there isn’t a good trade, your agents won’t force one.

How is this different from ChatGPT?

Daybreak runs a multi-agent swarm on a semi-deterministic architecture: instead of one chatbot doing everything, dozens of specialist agents work together, and the parts that must be exact always run the same way. LLMs never touch the math. Language models are built to read and reason, not to do arithmetic, so every number you see comes from deterministic algorithms and workflows: same inputs, same answer, every time. Nothing is hallucinated and calculations stay fast.

Specialist sub-agents investigate in parallel, each encoding professional workflows from our years inside hedge funds and trading institutions. In practice, one reads options flow while another tracks macro and another watches filings, the way analysts on a real desk divide the work, simultaneously rather than one question at a time.

Underneath sits the harness we’ve built: the plumbing that connects your agents to live data and to each other. It carries full market and portfolio context, memory, and expertise, which simply means your desk knows what’s moving, what you hold, and how you trade, without you re-explaining it each session.

Is my brokerage data safe? Can Daybreak trade on my behalf?

Brokerage connections are read-only. Your desk can see your holdings, but it cannot place trades, move funds, or take any action in your account. Your credentials never touch our servers; authentication is handled by an encrypted third-party integration layer. Your data serves one purpose: powering the analysis inside the app. We never sell it, and it stays yours. Connecting simply gives your desk the context to size risk, plan trades, and shape its analysis around you.

What data does Daybreak have access to?

Daybreak pulls from millions of institutional-grade datapoints: real-time global market feeds, earnings transcripts, SEC filings, insider transactions, congressional trades, super investor 13F holdings, options order flow, Wall Street analyst consensus, prediction market odds, macroeconomic calendars, and social sentiment across major investing communities. Each analysis draws on the data types that matter for the question at hand. We don’t disclose our data providers.
